• Anodized aluminum GrillGrates, which quickly reach temperatures above 650º F, enhance your grill’s searing capabilities and reduce flare-ups almost completely, producing steakhouse-quality grill marks, textured crusts, and intense caramelization.
• Chickens, turkeys, and prime ribs all develop a textured outside and tender inside with the self-basting magic of rotisserie cooking. Cook low and slow at 275–350°F, or move over direct fire for higher heat and more crust. (New grills are pre-drilled for a rotisserie.)

While the YS640s is technologically advanced, it’s also incredibly easy to use. To start it, simply load the pellet hopper, power on the grill, , and set it to your desired cooking temperature. The grill will automatically run its ignition program and should reach the desired cooking temperature within 10-20 minutes.

We mean it when we say “hands-free” grilling with no babysitting involved. There’s no need to open the lid for temperature checks, which speeds up cooking and frees you up for other activities. • Easy cleanup - simply brush the grates while they are still warm to remove grease and debris.
• Once the grill has cooled, dump any ash from the burn pot and wipe down the grill’s exterior.
• When necessary, deep will keep it running and looking fantastic.

Fast Ignition, Efficient Burn, and Reliable Performance

The high-capacity hopper holds a 20-pound bag of pellets and can run for approximately 10+ hours at 225°F. The high-airflow burn grate improves efficiency and prevents clogging by carrying ash away from the burn pot. The ceramic ignition system lasts five times longer than conventional contact igniters, heats up twice as fast, and generates 100% more heat using an induction lighting system that helps prevent failed ignitions.

• Built around a powerful microprocessor, the ACS board accounts for multiple input variables to keep your grill’s temperature consistent. It is intelligent enough to respond to drastic temperature shifts caused by opening the grill door, adding cold meat to the grill, weather fluctuations, or changes in pellet burn rates when switching pellet types mid-cook.
• Pellets last longer thanks to a more stable cooking environment inside the grill.

Temperature Control and Airflow that Make a Difference

Both the physical control panel and the mobile app allow you to adjust the temperature of the YS640s in 5°F increments. The controller is constantly monitoring the grill’s temperature and adjusts the pellet feed to maintain the target temperature with ±5 °F accuracy. And the grill’s consistent left-to-right airflow helps prevent temperature swings and soot buildup, improving performance and delivering delicious results.

• Ball-bearing fans enhance grill performance in cold weather.
• An optional accessory helps retain heat and improve fuel efficiency in below-freezing temperatures.

1,070 Square Inches of True Cooking Freedom

With 1,070 square inches of total cooking space (640 square inches on the primary grate + 430 square inches on the upper shelf), the YS640s on the competition cart is the perfect size for a large family meal or a gathering with numerous friends. The dual-level cooking area opens the door to multi-zone cooking, allowing you to sear meat over the firebox while baking a side dish on the modular 2-piece upper shelf. Quick-Start Tips & Best Practices

The YS640s startup process is a breeze. Simply load up the pellet hopper, power up the grill, and hit the “START” button. The auger will immediately begin to move pellets into the burn pot. And finally, the ceramic igniter will power on to initiate the induction heat combustion process.

Visible flames will appear within four minutes, while the fans and auger work together to fuel the fire and help bring the grill up to its target temperature. For best results:

• Clean the burn pot of any ash or debris after each use so that it is ready for the next cook
• Allow the grill to reach the desired temperature before putting food on to cook. Take weather conditions into consideration, as this might take longer when temperatures are low.
